2015 Tiancha Yihao – 3000 Years Wild Tree
£0.90 – £120.00
This is the first batch of Tiancha, produced under supervision of master Yeh Mei. Material in this tea comes from a single wild tree growing in a secret area in Northern Yunnan. The tree is very very old, in fact the claim is that it is 3000 years old. You may rightfully think that these claims are getting out of hand, but is as valid as CYH claims of harvesting 800 year old trees. There is going to be a scaling factor involved across the board, but relative tree age is still useful in a way.
The tea itself is mellow and oily, with slight sweetness and fruity/floral aroma. It brews seemingly endlessly, with no bitterness, throat scratching or astringency. It settles nicely in stomach, and has deep, calming and relaxing qi. Quite perfect on a tough/noisy day.
Cakes are approximately 200g.
